I worked on how we could integrate EasyEquities features in our app without compromising the simplicity that our clients expect. I started by understanding what existing clients loved about the platform as well as the frustrations they experienced.
I wanted to make sure the flows were as simple and straightforward as possible by putting focus on what the user wanted to achieve and removing confusion. To cater for all clients there had to be a balance between presenting the information that the more advanced clients wanted in a way which wouldn't confuse the more novice client.
I created wireframes of the flows which I reviewed and adapted until I felt that the flows were efficient enough without lacking the necessary detail. After which I created UI components that aligned to the EasyEquities branding and our navigation patterns.
I created a prototype which I tested on existing EasyEquities users as well as clients which had never used the platform before. The testing went well and we learnt we needed to help educate more novice clients to make them more comfortable with using the platform.
Based on the feedback we put more focus on how we could educate clients and looked at simplifying the copy to help make investing more accessible.
